Petite Plus Women Can Wear Bright Colors

Friday March 21, 2008
nullIf you're a woman who wears a petite plus size, don't be afaid to add some of the season's bright hues to your wardrobe. Many women stick to black, navy, and dark colors all year because those dark colors have a slimming effect. But too much of the dark color palette can become a bit dreary, especially in the first days of spring.

When you wear brights, try a couple of other styling tricks to create a slimming vertical line. This outfit does that with a V-neckline, princess seams, and a print that features flowing vertical lines.

Paula,
I was wondering if youhad any tips for petite fashion with regard to maternity wear? I was also wondering what your top picks would be as far as retailers with maternity clothing for petite women.

Thanks!
