Sarah Jessica Parker's Bitten Line Only at Steve & Barry's
With the release of the Sex and the City movie scheduled for May 30, Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Carrie Bradshaw, is back in the news. But she hasn't been resting since the popular HBO show ended. In addition to her acting career, Sarah Jessica Parker entered the world of fashion design a year ago, joining many other celebrities who have launched lines of clothing and fashion accessories.
Bitten, Sarah Jessica Parker's line of budget-priced clothing (nothing costs more than $19.98), is sold exclusively at Steve & Barry's, a rapidly expanding retailer. Unfortunately, Steve & Barry's doesn't sell online, so many shoppers have no way of checking out the Bitten line for themselves. However, with its expansion schedule, Steve & Barry's may be coming to a mall near you soon. I just checked Steve & Barry's store locator and found that there will be a local store near me soon.
Although Bitten is not a petites line, Sarah Jessica Parker is on the tall end of the petites spectrum, and she has appeared in Bitten garments, so it will be interesting to find out how they fit petites. If you have purchased any Bitten clothing, please post a comment, and let everyone know what you thought of the fit. I'll check it out personally when the local Steve & Barry's store opens.

I really like this line of clothing, it’s all very simple and pretty. However, I’m very careful with the items — I never dry them! Some of the garments are extremely thin and tend to shrink easily. I’ve also found that I had to go up a size (!) on the pants and I’ve never wore a large shirt in my life, but now do! I love all the items, plus the jewelry, purses and shoes are all just too cute. I probably have 20 pieces and maybe spent $150 on it all! The short black swing coat from last fall is my favorite!
I also love steve and barry’s. there are a lot of smaller companies popping up like this. One of my favorites. http://www.seventeenclothing.com
I just bought a down fleece lined coat by Bitten. The sizing does run small and no matter the size is cut very petite especially through the shoulders and length of the arms. I am very disappointed to say the least. Not knowing anything about her line or the price her items sale at I paid almost double for it through the Internet. The sad thing though is not what I paid for the coat because as far as I was concerned the price was still acceptable for me to have a really warm coat. My real concern lies in the quality of the product. The coat I bought zips up the front as well as has snaps up the front, snaps inside the pocket edge and a snap on hood. A third of all the snaps on the entire coat were very loose and do not hold well. There were 6 snaps that would not hold at all and most were around the hood so it just falls off on one side. On the side of the hood snaps that do hold have an even worse problem surrounding them. The material she used to make this coat is not strong enough for her own snaps. When I went to take the hood off because one side is falling off from poor quality loose snaps the side with snaps that were holding when gently attempted to unsnap the material completely tore open around the snap which stayed together and left a huge whole in the material. I have since looked over all the areas around the snaps all over the coat and the material is tearing or torn on several of them. So much for having a nice warm coat. I can’t snap or unsnap anything and refuse to wear anything with small holes all over it let alone large holes. The material is thin and useless especially when made for use with snaps and take your pick on having maybe some snaps that work some, some that dont work at all and then the ones that worked so well they tore the coat wide open. I definitely will be cutting my losses on this coat and will not be purchasing anything with Bitten or Sarah Jessica Parker anywhere on it. Good Luck to the rest of you if you’ve bought it and if you’re thinking about it “pass” it isn’t worth wasting even $5 on. Thanks.
I love Bitten jeans. I have very skinny legs and can never find jeans that fit the way I would like it. I was Buffalo New York and visited Dave and Barry’s. I live in Atlanta, GA. I just found out that there is a store close to me. I can’t wait to go. These jeans are the best bargain you can find. So all you skinny legs…get your Bitten jeans. Thanks Sarah Jessica
I MISS MY STORE, I LOVED THE CLOTHES AND PRICES. ITS SO SAD THAT GREAT STORES LIKET HIS ARE GONE AND WALMART IS STILL HERE with crapy ill fitting garbage
I wish it would come back even if its only on the internet…
i lOve her sooo much!!!
I LOVE ALL ABOUT HER!
she a really great actriss! and a really nice person in reality!!
i loveee you and your clothe!!!
with love you fan number!!!1111
I also have bought this line of clothes, my steve and barrys was an hour away and it closed. very dissapointed!!! i used to drive there just for the bitten collecton. I have the most awesome capri pants they are long enough to cover my bigger leg areas and thin enough to wear even in the hottest weather. i could have went a size smaller but i did get my normal size and they fit well. I would spend lots of $$$ if I could have another pair of these capri’s in evey color too bad they don’t offer internet purchase.
love the stretch straight jeans, I am from RI and wish there was a store closer, but I do drive 30 -40 minutes to get to Silver City Galleria/ only complaint is that the zipper turned a little, I take a sz 2 and they are very true to size, maybe some attention can be paid to the zippers.
i am quite disappointed at the quality of the clothing. not to mention, the jeans are missing a belt loop and thus gaps at the top when a belt is added. the clothing is cut small. a 10 is not really a 10.
all i can say is low cost does not equate to low quality. once bitten but never again.
one question: would sarah wear that garbage?
I miss the jeans it has been the only jeans that I have found that have fit my short skiny legs. I have an odd shaped body and I have 3 pairs left and they are looking raggy and have no luck finding any other jeans that fit right I hoep she brings the line back some where!
I just bought a Bitten Bubble jacket in olive green or army green. It has a fleece type lining and inner zip with sort of a sweater type neck and then it buttuns down the front and has zippers on the sleeves. Very heavy nice weight winter jacket. I love it. I had to go up a size to large from medium for my daughter. I bought it at a ‘Roses’ department store for ……drum roll please……..$7.50 and that was the everyday price! I am going back tomorrow morning and getting two more for my nieces for Christmas!
