Memorable Petite Fashion Moments of 2008
Tuesday December 23, 2008
My picks for memorable petite fashion statements for 2008:
- Best Evening Wear in a Primary Color--Kate Mara at the Met Costume Institute Gala. She really stood out from the crowd in her yellow gown by designer Zac Posen.
- Best Goddess Look--Chandra Wilson at the Emmys. She proved that you don't have to be a petite size 0 to look fabulous.
- Best Dressed Over-60--Helen Mirren at the Oscars. She has a great figure and knows how to dress to show it off.
- Best Retro Look--Renee Zellweger in a dark blue dress she wore to a movie premiere. The dress had a 1940s vibe with its sheer chiffon sleeves and drapey fabric.
- Worst Ensemble: Paula Abdul at the ALMA Awards. Her huge earrings and over-the-top swag necklace along with the ruffles on her long gown overwhelmed the petite star.
- Most Unflattering Dress: Eva Longoria Parker in a dress she wore to a runway show during New York Fashion Week. She usually looks glamorous, but her short, shapeless dress did nothing to flatter her.
