Gladiator Sandals Don't Flatter Short Women
Gladiators Are Popular, But Are They Right for You?

Shoe designers love gladiator sandals this year, and shoe lovers are sure to be tempted by the trendy styles. However, if you're a short woman, try to resist the temptation. Despite the popularity of gladiators, they don't flatter petite feet or short women.

The problem with gladiators? With their many straps, gladiator shoes look heavy, and the wider the straps, the heavier they look. Wearing clunky sandals calls undue attention to your feet. Ask yourself whether or not you really want the focal point of your outfit to be your feet. OK, OK, I know some shoe aficionados will say "yes," but big shoes will make your feet look bigger, which does nothing to create a desirable longer, leaner look.

The worst of the worst are the knee-high Balenciaga sandals. Ugly! We think this costume-like look should be saved for the movies - remember Russell Crowe in Gladiator?
