Elizabeth Taylor's trademark fashion accessories were always her striking and bold pieces of fine jewelry. She loved showy pieces with lots of glitz, which reflected her status as a movie star. Indeed Elizabeth Taylor's jewelry was remarkable, both for the number and value of the pieces of jewelry she had. When we see stars on the red carpet today, they've likely borrowed their diamonds and fine jewelry from a well-known jeweler, but Elizabeth Taylor owned her own fine jewelry.

One of the most famous pieces of jewelry that Elizabeth Taylor had was a 33.19-carat diamond ring given to her by her fifth husband Richard Burton. In the photograph at bottom right above, Elizabeth Taylor is shown displaying the huge ring.

At left, a smiling Elizabeth Taylor is shown holding her Oscar, which she won for Best Actress in the movie Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and wearing a gorgeous emerald and diamond necklace, which is pictured in color above at center. Another one of her fabulous necklaces is pictured at upper right. Both of these necklaces were sold at the Christie's auction.
