Westernwear and Native Americana strongly influenced the Ralph Lauren Spring Fashion Collection for 2011 shown during Fashion Week in New York. We saw suede vests, skirts, and jackets, along with typical touches of Westernwear, such as fringe, Navajo-inspired designs, turquoise jewelry, and wide leather belts with large, showy buckles.

Feminine touches, such as long skirts, lace, and puffed sleeves, balanced the rugged Western look. Overall, the color palette of the collection featured light hues, mainly white and cream, punctuated with earthy tan and brown.

Ralph Lauren is one of the few top designers who offers some clothing in petites' sizes.
